Drama Camp 2012

        Drama camp will be held at Creek View Elementary again this summer. There will be 3 drama camps starting June 11 - June 15. More details will be added later. Scenes! Monologues! Improv! Oh my! For the 8th year now, the Creek View Summer Drama Camps return! Marc Barrett and Rickey Jordan, classroom teachers at Creek View, are instructing the camps again this summer. These exciting camps will consist of a variety of activities that will enhance the student’s passion for theatre, sharpen their performing skills, and develop their confidence and teamwork. Some of the skills that will be addressed during the camp are: audition techniques, stage performance, projection, improvisation, and creative movement. This year students will collaborate with their peers to write their own original scripts. It’s a creative way for students to explore the writing process! On the Friday of every camp week, students perform their original scenes, monologues of famous characters and improv games for the audience. Mr. Barrett and Mr. Jordan direct many of the performing arts productions at Creek View including state award-winning films, the talent shows, and Shakespeare plays. With their energy and enthusiasm for youth drama and YOU GOTTA HAVE ART’s support of the performing arts; Summer Drama Camps at Creek View will be a blast for students!
 

There will be (3) summer Drama Camps at Creek View. The camp hours are 9:00AM-2:00 PM and cost is $195 for each camp week. Space is limited; please register early. Students will bring a lunch and drink daily. All three camp weeks are for current 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th graders and instructed by Marc Barrett and Rickey Jordan:
